How can I email a poster made on scrap booking for the computer?

September 06th, 2010 | Category: cricut

It’s scrap booking by Nova Development.
It has a choice "export image". Will that do it?
I’m not sure I want to try it. Because I don’t know if that will get rid of it completely.

Try it.

what in hot water heaters are worth money for scrap metal?

September 04th, 2010 | Category: cricut

I notice alot of people scoop up old hot water heaters to sell the metal to a scrap yard, what part / parts of the water heater are actualy worth money? is it just the entire thing, or do you have to take out the tank or whatever is on the inside?

if anyone knows and could share it would be most apreciated.

The copper tank if you have one. Some models are bi-metal, glass lined and have insulation wiress etc… glued to the copper core. It may be not worth the hassle to tear apart, get rid of the sharp scrap, and transport the clean copper for whatever cents on the dlooar you will get for it.

What can I make using small pieces of scrap wood and wood shavings. I hate to see them go to waist.?

September 03rd, 2010 | Category: cricut

My boyfriend makes cabinet doors and has alot of scrap wood and wood shavings left over. We are wanting to come up with a way to recycle that wood and make something new. The pieces of wood are not very big at all and there are alot of wood shavings. But I just can’t think of a way to recycle it into something new. What would you do?

How about some back to nature – make bird houses/feeders, butterfly houses, bat houses, squirrel and chipmunk stations, etc. I’m sure you can find great plans on the Internet – but for someone who is talented enough to make cabinet doors – these projects would be a piece of cake – if you want you could paint and decorate them. if you make so many that your yard would look like a nature sanctuary – give them to a nursing home – patients can spend many hours watching the antics of birds etc.
I’m sure if you donate these wonderful projects the nursing home staff would put them up.
Thanks for recycling. And being a friend of nature, besides entertaining the elderly and infirmed.
PS. shavings are good nesting material, also good composting material for garden beds.

Is it illegal to walk next to railroad tracks picking up scrap metal?

September 02nd, 2010 | Category: cricut

Is it illegal to walk next to railroad tracks picking up scrap metal as long as i”m not physically taking the railroad tracks apart? I’m guessing there’s probably a lot of scrap that falls from railcars.

people are more paranoid now than ever and doing something like picking up metal by railroad tracks are gonna raise suspicions.

Where can I sell scrap gold for the most money?

August 30th, 2010 | Category: cricut

I have some broken gold items and earrings that i lost the match to, etc. I want to sell it for scrap. Pawnshops usually offer pennies on the dollar. I know gold is high right now. Where is a good place to sell the scrap so I can get closer to what its worth?

You have missed to say where are you living, which city.
Regardless your living place, when you sell your gold, you sell per gram at the international prevailing rate + or – within acceptable tolerance.

How do I buy copper from a scrap yard?

August 27th, 2010 | Category: cricut

I am looking to buy about 45,000 lbs of copper from local scrap yards. Can I get that much? What price? What do I need to look for in quality copper?

I think you would be better off to buy from a metal refiner if you want to have any confidence in the purity. From a scrap yard it will not have been cleaned of wire insulation, plumbing solder, lime deposits from water etc.
Why would anyone want to buy that much copper? Please tell us.
